Day 2 – Dublin

Looks like another beautiful day in Ireland! We decided to purchase tickets for the hop on hop off bus tour today to make it easier to get around Dublin. Plenty of good seats are still available. ?

Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour

We hopped off the bus near O’Connell Street. Lots of shops and restaurants in this area of town. We browsed a souvenir shop and ended up eating breakfast at Murrays Bar and Grill. Below are some pictures from this area of Dublin.

After breakfast, we walked to Trinity College before hopping back on the bus towards Christ Church Cathedral, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Dublin Castle.

Another quick bus trip brought us to our first tour of the day – The Guinness Storehouse. The tour included a history of Guinness and how it’s made, including a tasting. Only Jeff was a fan of the taste of Guinness.

Our second tour of the day was of Kilmainham Gaol (Jail) across the street from our hotel.

We ended our busy day by visiting the Temple Bar area of Dublin for dinner before meeting up with Katie at the bus stop. Temple Bar was definitely a tourist hot spot and was decorated with lots of hanging baskets of flowers.
