Day 4 – Donegal

Saturday was a day full of unbelievable Northern Ireland scenery and continued great weather. We started the day with a walk through the Dark Hedges made famous by the Game of Thrones, followed by a trip to a nearby bar with a GOT door and themed room.

Next up was a hike, then a walk across the Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge suspended high above the Atlantic Ocean. The views were fantastic.

After the rope bridge, we spent a few minutes exploring nearby Ballintoy Harbor, again made famous by the filming of the Game of Thrones.

On our way along the beautiful north coast, we stopped off at a scenic overlook of the coastline. The beach was so nice, the cattle were sunning themselves.

The last big stop of the day was the amazing Giant’s Causeway, the hexagonal rock formations that are quite unbelievable.

After the Giant’s causeway, we grabbed some lunch before heading to Donegal and checking into Lough Eske Castle Hotel. This hotel was off the hook with a helipad and several Lamborghinis in the parking lot. We ended up finding a casual bar where we had some drinks and dinner. Two musicians with guitars basically gave us a private concert where we requested most of the songs they played.
